Ah, BloodBowl - the gateway drug that got me back on the painting/gaming trail after nearly ten years of being 'normal'

Yeah, BB is funny like that. I started playing in '91-'92 and for many years it was the one and only game I'd play. It's basically what kept me in the hobby when "growing out of" role playing games, Hero Quest and Siege of the Citadel. Funnily, I sold off my quite massive 2nd edition BB collection a few years ago as I had finally "grown out" of miniature painting. Me and my game playing friends were mostly playing board games and I could get my painting fix from painting the pawns in Robo Rally, Runebound and so forth. Didn't nead heaps of lead I never used anyways.

Shortly thereafter I discovered a DIY dungeon crawl game which I just "had" to get some miniatures for. Settled for pre painted WOTC plastics, as they were so cheap. Well, the common ones. OK, the
crap common ones. And the nice ones were expensive, and still had crappy paintjobs. I started re-painting some of them and went "hey, wait a second...". We abandoned the plastics a year ago and I got into lead collection once more. Much to my wife's dismay...

Haven't played Blood Bowl for a couple of years... now, I just happen to live in the same town as Anatoli and I'm thinking of painting up my "counts as human" Chaos All Stars team to take for a spin again.
The words "circle" and "complete" comes to mind.
