This should probably be under VSF. Just watch and you'll know why.

Can't they leave books as they should be?  Another generation of kids about to be misled about history and classic stories.  ???

Exactly.

Pokemon convinced a whole generation that "Evolution" means that a creature fights several battles, then shines and becomes a completely new creature within seconds.  o_o

Period.

Why can't movie writers think about new names and plots for their work instead of twisting classic literature?
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

I'm a comparatively younger member of the forum, and even I can remember when sword fights were cool enough that you didn't have to add "blackpowder-cannonball-machinegun-machines" to make them "cool."  :( This looks...blegh.  I will save my cinema monies for sucker punch...new IP? what whaaat?  8)

Totally silly and no doubt not at all true to the book. However by setting my expectations to the level of a video game movie,  I believe I shall enjoy it immensely for the action packed visual feast of cgi enhanced action scenes and scattered slightly amusing witty remarks. I know my 15 year old son will love it.  :D

I know it's just a film but to me it looks like the rape of a great story.
