THX Grimm, but anyway it's no shame to "loose" against a master. At least I get one vote and it's not my own.  I voted for Erwans - better style, better job, better picture...

So it is: some times you loose - so times the others are winning

Very good mentality ! :) I love that spirit which I can find only here.

if I can allow a council: do not use  flash for your photographs : your sister are greats but because of the flash we can't see very well your work.

When I first read this I thought: "Why the hell is Grimm dragging the poor fellows sisters into this?! I mean isn't it enough that the vote isn't exactly in Lazarus favour this turn?" Then I remembered that I am an idiot.

Yes, LL, the Sisters are also very well done. I like the shading on the robes &  the way you're painting style has made their faces very feminine. My ladies always look like pantomime dames :(

It's just that the Helldorado figures are soooooo good!

I'm sure you'll be winning rounds soon  :)

Cheers,
Ian

THX to you all!

I tried without flash but that was even worse  - I 've still got no proper lamps for taking figure-pictures. But compared with some others in this competition I'm still avarage.

But must I get one of the very best works in my first round?

So I'll have to wait for the next season when I will get proper lamps and will have done my Red Ruhr Army, but I still haven't ordered the minis  and got no time to paint them anyway...

For RRA I thought of using:

Copplestone: Russian partisans, WestWind: BoB Volkssturm and some from my "opponents": Renegade and Great War - which I will use for Freikorps - with Head changes of course. I also think I will have to do some minor conversion on the Russians.

And maybe - if I still have money left - some partisans from WW, Boltaction, BTD and/or Foundry (which I also could use for my SCW-Project planed for next year's summer if any :? ).

I won't start it 'till end of the year but I'm going to show the pics as soon as posible.

May I suggest the excellent Republican Militia done by Anglian Miniatures? Superb figures, and you´d only have to convert the rather "Mediterranean" headgear, rather using more caps and maybe the occasional shabby hat.

Confer my Republican Militia
