Empress AZW releases
« on: April 02, 2011, 10:22:52 AM »
Just to show that we have not forgotten the Zulu War here are some pictures of two packs soon to be released.

Lord Chelmsford, his COS Crealock, gossiping as usual, and the reporter Norris Newman.

A Royal Artillery Gatling.

There will be a string of new AZW releases during the coming months.  :)

Really , really stunning work. I've been awaiting that Gatling to come out.

Is it me though or is that reporter on his mobile? Probably calling up the zulus to get an inside story. The darned media..

Can't wait to see the next releases.

Lovely figures.
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

"I say Sir, I wish that reporter chap would stop breaking wind! Dashed unsavoury, what!"

Again, lovely figures. Like the Perrys' releases they are of consistently high quality.

Both sets are must-haves especially Chelmsford's little gang and a good gatling is always essential ;D

I have to ask again.  Any chance of Blood's pontoons and some 2d field company, Royal Engineers? Got to bridge the Tugela somehow.

If you want to model the bridge being built, then you will need specific Sappers in shirt-sleeves doing the various tasks, otherwise just use standard infantry as both uniforms were identical in cut.

Such figures would be also useful for other tasks such as building mealie-bag walls etc, so maybe somewhere down the line.....

One thing I love about Empress is that their miniatures are full of character.

Very, very good models, that I expect to buy in SALUTE, of course!!!

But...

What happens with the zulues? You have not new released for them, and we need them!!!  :)

I would like to see skirmishers, more warriors, "camp followers", zulues on horse...

Cheers,

Juan
