Sturmgeschutz and Sorcery
« on: 08 April 2011, 09:47:20 PM »
If you recognize the title of this post, you may find my blog entertaining this month as I record my progress to recreate a tabletop action from an article written by Gary Gygax waaaaay back in 1975! If you don't know what I'm on about, but are into 'Weird War' scenarios you should find interesting as well...

LOL! Blast from the past, that's a good one -- share the AAR when you can!
Play the game, not the players!

Just about to say the same. Somewhere I still have that article flying around - inside a Best of Dragon magazine.

Ah, the memories! Our group of enthusiastic @13-15 year olds got the bright idea to use a dirk of doubling to make sure we never ran out of ammo. Our poor inexperienced DM let us browbeat him into allowing it and from then on we were pretty invincible. After a while the DM picked up "Deities and Demigods" and got his revenge on us.

We had similar fun with a scenario from a company called "Role Aids" based on the movie "The Keep".
