A great collection!

I particularly like the dwarf and goblin sculpts from black scorpion, so much character.

A very nice collection.

Although personally - oh dear, speaking as an old fart - I am going to have to bemoan the steady drift towards fantastical pirating based on glossy 'rules systems'...  ::)

Is there really not enough madcap mayhem, colour and invention available in the regular world of miniature pirate games, that orcs, elves, dwarves and other such GW-inspired flim-flam appears to be fast becoming de rigeur?

No reflection at all on your very nicely sculpted and painted figures  :)

I just find it a tad depressing that we can't seem to keep any genres free of the ever creeping influence of GW and all their imitators and wannabes...

Yeah, what that stodgy old git said!  ;) I really love the paint jobs on the undead though. That grey-ish tone on the bones is unusual, but very effective. Especially paired with those creepy red eyes!

I really like your painting style - the dwarven pirates look great!

I think that Cutlass! did exactly what was expected, countering the rather booring foreword of Legends of the High Seas with some fantasy elements, and why not? I dont mind, I love zombie pirates, and with that in mind I will of course get Cutlass, wich I am sure can be played totally fantasy free.
I have Legends of the High Seas, and the rules are not bad at all, if you dont consider the rather poor attempts for a campaign setting. It is my hope that Cutlass! will do better in that department.
I must say to your defense Captain Geriatric, that I do actually understand what you mean, and I even agree with you to a point, however, I like options, and this is what at least I will be looking for in Black Scorpions new rules.
Tintin - Pulp Adventures in a orderly fashion
Gallows Falls - Western Village
Eisende - Mordheim costal village WIP
Rome - SPQR & Hail Caesar

Id agree with that. I am not a huge fan of fantasy and even less of a fan of GW but this looked like a nice fun game that I could put together in a short time span, easy to play and "relatively" cheap.

I fully intend to run non fantasy games with these as well and I'm looking at alternative scenarios to just straight Pirate games, hence why there are alot more human models in my collection then fantasy ones.

I have ideas for Anti-smuggling operations, raiding/provisioning expeditions, town brawls (inspired by City of Vice) and many more and will be adding figures from other ranges as needed (Natives, Soldiers from other nations etc).
