Minders
« on: April 29, 2011, 12:43:48 PM »
Can somebody please tell me what the Minders with the bloated are used for - I need to know if I should order them along with the Rad Zombies (in May or June, as soon as I can spare the money for the rules and some figs... - have to get .45A2, first...)?
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Without resorting to the rules, the Minders are sort of the 'host mind' for the zombie horde, while the bloaters are just a special infected type. They aren't necessary, but add a different flavour to your use of the undead. Personally I nixed them, I just like shambling uncoordinated zombies.

Thanks - I forgot the word 'heads' in 'with the bloated heads'  lol

I think I'll keep to my original plan of buying a pack of Greasers and a pack of Zeds (which can be supplemented with other shamblers from my collection) along with the rulebook, until I have read, played, and learned the rules well enough to add twists.

It's one of the games I REALLY want to play, so I have to get started before they put me in a home  lol

That sounds like a good start to me, you could probably come up with some house rules to control the zeds and play it solo even.  ;)

If I need solo Zed rules, I just use the mechanics from Dead walk Again, slightly twisted to suit the system in question. I think it is more or less the same way Zombies by GASLIGHT has been constructed.  :)
