Bolt-action Rifle and Hollow Points Question

When using hollow point bullets with a bolt-action rifle, do the effects add to the profile of the rifle or replace it ?

My opponent last night was arguing that I should lose the bolt-action rifles AP1 when I use hollow points.

I believe that he is wrong and that the combined profile should be AP1, Ready, +1 Damage, -2 Range.

Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

The hollow point bullets add to the damage profile of the standard bullets.  In the case of the bolt action rifle, you keep the AP but gain the additional damage but -2" range (Ready would still apply).
