Just starting to contemplate some similar Middle European/Old English style buildings for ECW/TYW and pulp, and this is very inspirational!

The half-timbering is fiddly, but of course it doesn't have to be perfect, the real stuff is irregular as well.

Hi, slow going because I'm a slow painter  but thought I'd show a couple of wip pics. Roof done, timberwork done, infil in the half timbering ... progressing.

Great work, both build and wip painting! The only thing I would have left out is that line of stones on the bottom of the first story walls to resemble to picture a bit more. But that is a tiny suggestion and I'd be more than happy to have such a beautiful piece of terrain on my table. The winding stairs look simply amazing both in your execution and the original. Sometimes reality is even cuter than fantasy.
