The Stinger and Kubus Armored Car are particularly interesting to me.

I knew all the exploits of the Polish resistance during the Warsaw uprising, but the way the article was written had me laughing so hard  lol

Whoever writes these lists always does a damn good job putting the text together to be both educational and highly entertaining at the same time  lol

"Poland is Europe's Afghanistan"

"steampunk catapults "

"craziest Polish MacGyverism of Death "

"from which the dozen Poles inside could fire their guns, tank-killing flame-throwers, or just swing their crazy-ass scythes around, depending on their ingenuity, resources, and how little of a fuck they wanted to give that day."

Thanks for posting the link, this really made my day  :D

Btw I think it was in Norman Davie's book God's Playground vol II where I read that the Kubus actually survived the uprising, it got stuck at some point during the long battle and was abandoned. The car was found among the ruins by the Russians after the Germans had left Warsaw.

I'm glad you liked it! Cracked.com actually does a lot of military history stories. As long as you take their findings with a grain of salt they are often very entertaining.

A couple of my favorites:

Ok, so I'm thinking an upgrade for SOTR Zaitsev that involves a Medium AT Anti-Mech rifle...

A new USA Charcter called Tony Stien with Iron Will and a Move or Fire HMG with Medium AT...

And the Polish resistance automatically win every game... lol
