more quickies : 50s fridge & washing machine
« on: 01 June 2011, 10:15:05 PM »
some more leftover insulated foam that got a treatment :

not a full model of the washing mahcine, rather a half buried one.
punched out a styrene ring and cut the sides for the hatch from the punched out leftover so they would fit against the outer diameter of the ring.

the fridge is just a box with the front edges sanded smooth. I scored the lines for the door and pushed a small ball in the front.
handles are simply styrene strips.

all glued together :

the real fridge has a chrome line near the top which is probably going to be some sewing thread I will glue on the door.
last step will be slapping some paint on  :)

Looks great Zizi. I could see those outside a ruined house in Fallout. ;)
