[Ramshackle Games] Wolves
« on: 16 June 2011, 08:08:58 AM »
Ive just released some giant wolves, sculpted up by amateur sculptor Duncan Morris-Metcalf. They are pretty big wolves. I was not sure which forum to put these on, as they are pulp, fantasy and many other categories!

Chunky!

How about a leg / saddle section so you can mount characters on them?

A bit funny looking, but nicely painted and apart from the wonky anatomy they're pretty ok sculpts. Would work as "chaotic monstrous beasts". =) Faces are almost baboon like!

What's the cost, Curtis?

They will have integral riders legs on the eventually. As I said, Duncan who made them just comes to visit my workshop occasionally, these have been brewing for about a year!

As for price, they are £2 each.

I think they're right on the mark! Way better than other offerings for giant wolves I've seen. Reminiscing of Blanche art even. Lovely

Yes I know. Just struck me as quite the coincidence.

Indeed for use with the goblins. I would have liked to get the old '87 pieces, but they're completely impossibly pricey. The current GW are ugly as sin and other offerings are "too serious" for me.

But you danish see the world through permanent beer goggles...  o_o ;)

I don't really feel like nitpicking, as I kind of like the models...

I like them too, they look like right clever, evil little (big) b@st@rds!

Perhaps warpstone tainted...

I agree. Fit right in with a lot of the goblins out there.

I am actually looking at mounting 40K Space Wolves on them for my son.  One unit type in the codex are mounted on wolves, but GW don't provide wolves except for the LOTR wargs which don't fit the look for 40K.  How much is two British Pounds in American Dollars?

According to xe.com, 2 quid works out at about 3 bucks 22 cents.

That's a damned massive wolf! I quite like the model, perhaps for some twisted werewolf-tainted wolf hybrid thing that runs with werewolves!

Those look pretty nice. Any chance of a pic with  a human sized figure next to one?
