The hall is booked for the next offensive on the 31st July 2011 at the WI hall Bingham, Nottinghamshire, UK. Please spread the word
In keeping with our previous events the main theme will be the Great War in Italy and the Western Front during the Late War although as last time, if people want to play Early War we can accomodate that, there is no fixed format. There will be the usual mix of river crossings, fighting in woods, villages and trench assaults.
Likewise although the principal rules used will be the WHW Great War rule set (with additions as normal) theres no reason why if we want to organise some games using other rules sets such as Through the Mud and the Blood by TooFatLardies we shouldn't do so as long as we have a couple of people willing!
Several people are usually kind enough to offer loan of their armies if you don't have a painted force ready (and assuming they are attending), so please ask for further details.
I will start to compile the full details over the next few weeks as we firm up on specific plans via discussion here and on the Scarab Forum (
www.scarabbminiatures.com/forum).
This event has become quite popular during the last couple of years and our thanks for your support. At the last one we had 16 attendees and it is an opportunity to talk with like minded people about the Great War itself as well as showing off our armies and playing a few relaxed games.
Visitors are welcome on the day although if you want to play you will need to buy a ticket via the Scarab online store where you can also find plenty of reinforcements from a range of manufacturers!
We look forward to seeing you there
