Even more cheap plants
« on: 29 June 2011, 07:15:50 PM »
Just got a visit from a friend who found these :

Both come from a shop here in European mainland called CASA.
the first is part from a plantlike ball that he bought for €7,5 :

the second comes from some sort of string (from his explanation I gather some 75cm long. forgot how much he payed for that)
It's rather large, but I guess if I clip the sidebracnhes it'll work for 28mm.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Great find, zizi666!
Would most definitely like to get my hands on one/some of those ball-like plants. They would be perfect for a future project I have planned. Lots of cheap plants will be essential.
I cant seem to find the store that you mentioned online, do you have a link?
If not, I guess I will just have to see what I can find in the UK.
Will probably do that anyway.
Thanks for the tip.

Doesn't Ikea sell those too?

There's a casa nearbye, might go there for a peak, though I already have loads of plants from these balls and aquarium sets. But the more variety the better. :)

I like the setup of the plants in that first picture.

These aren't aquarium plants, but rather plastic flowers :

You can get the ball plants in Pet shops (Aquarium section) - the actual leaves are different to the one in this thread but they breakdown into section sin the smae way.

Here's some of my "Venus" vegitation from plastic plants, some of which is passable for "jungle" here on terra firma :)

There's a restaurant that has some ball plants outside right where I live. I've been tempted to sneak past with scissors and snip of some bits.
