Hello from Brisbane
« on: July 02, 2011, 08:05:24 AM »
Hey All

Been a lurker for a while and thought it was about time i joined.  :)

Based in Brisbane Australia. Only really gotten back into collecting figures a few years ago and never looked back. I am mainly interested in 20mm WWII, but also getting involved in 28mm Ancients and just discovered Napoleonics after i was given a whole tub of 25mm painted Minifigs a few weeks ago!

On the side apart from working and family i also develop my own figures, mainly 20mm, but now working on some 28mm SYW which the first have just been put into metal. I got received the tub of Minifgs when i bought my spin caster and that has opended a whole new perspective on the miniature game as well. :)

regards
Mathew

It is not often (probably never) that you hear of a newbie with a spin caster. Nice work.
It is a pity that you are in Brisbane and not Melbourne (where I am), as I would love to give you and your spin caster some commision work. :D

Do you have an pics of your stuff? or even your layout?

Welcome to LAF 8)

Nice figures but the arms seem to be a little too long. It might be because of the angle of the photo though… I shouldn’t criticize as I’m barely able to sculpt anything more elaborate than sand bags myself :(
