Agis, are those West Wind Weird WWII?
Because if those are supposed to be U.S. helmets, the sculptor needs to go back to the drawing board. They are really seriously poor attempts. (Not the painting I hasten to add!)

The pickelhaubes on the other hand, other beautifully executed...

I'm finding it hard getting past the hats on this one!

Body: Artizans US Greatcoats
Head: Westwind SHS Secret of the 3rd Reich heads for US (US Gas Mask Heads).
see: http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=126_149&products_id=1140

And honestly I love these heads, what is wrong with them?
They are helmets of a fictional setting, so it can't be historical inaccurately, or?

cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - http://www.adpublishing.de

Okay. I stand corrected! If they're not supposed to look like U.S. M1941 helmets, then they are very successful
The 41 helmet (and variants right through to the 1980s) had a pronounced peak, and quite shallow curvature over the ears.
West Wind's U.S. helmets seem to have no peak and deep curvature over the ears.

But as you say, these heads are not for a historical setting.

Sorry - being just a bit too anal there.

Thanks

You mention kitting the S&S tank out with some Tamiya stowage. Are the scales comparable?

I was thinking of grabbing some Tamiya 1/48 scale kits for my Germans and Americans.

If you are not too anal about the scale stowage etc is OK.
otherwise 1/48 is to big. I am not using any 1/48 vehicle models with 28mm minis.
