Solvent for cured GS?

What can be used to smooth the surface of hardened greenstuff?

Depends on what you want really. If it's a relatively flat surface, I'd scrape it gently with a sharp blade first and then use an old electric toothbrush on it with vaseline to polish it.

Turps once worked when we all use to make our greenstuff out of plastic sprue,haven't tried since.......

Supposedly the pros use acetone, but I haven't tried it myself. May be dangerous/have health consequences, so be sure to work in a well-ventilated area.

So far I've used Magic Sculp for really flat surfaces. You could cut greenstuff. My greenstuff atempts usually were more skrimshw that sculpting :D
Far less active than I used to...

I use acetone a lot for various purposes, including paint removal. It may be the cause of my habitual swearing. :)

For smoothing cured g/s I use 600 grit "wet and dry" paper, using water (wet not wringing) for lubrication.
