Necromunda Bull Gorg stand in?
« on: 12 July 2011, 11:40:51 PM »
Hello,
I'm pretty sure I saw a 28mm figure on a manufacturer's website that would make a near-perfect Bull Gorg character for Necromunda... basically a tubby post-apocalyptic gladiator guy with two huge chainsword arms.

Any idea which mini I'm thinking of? I went through my bookmarks and came up with nothin'.

Thanks!

Off the top of my head I can think of JAG's Uncle Meat:

And Hasslefree's Jotun:

Gripper from Moonfleet is the only one I can think of and to be honest I don't rate it.

I always thought this guy, The Mighty Zug, would be the best basis for a conversion.

So many projects..... so little time.......

What he said:
simply replace it's arms with ork "chainswords" :)

@Pil: isn't Uncle Meat 54mm scale mini?

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I was thinking the figure I saw was from one of the obscure (to me anyway) European companies. I had seen the Black Cat 'Gripper' now that I think about it, he's an obvious choice but after seeing a few of the others a conversion might be in order. Zug would be a good starting point. What about this guy from Mad Puppet (sold by Taban).

And, the Eden line has some seriously freaky stuff!

This one is even better! Head and arms are easy to replace.
If only the scale fits.

Hello!  I am working on a custom figure for the very same purpose.  I can scale him at any height because he will be 3d printed.  How tall do you recon that Bull Gorg would be?

The JAG website says unkle meat is 30mm line. It's a seriously cool mini.

But could not make the sickle yield."

Really keen to see how this turns out for you I reckon he would be about 6'+ tall. so about 30mm standing up straight?
He was the most interesting special character with the best fluff. You've now made me want to get a pitfighters gang led by Bull Gorg.

You think it was more than a coincidence that he shares the name with the big ogre guys from the fraggles... The gorgs? lol

Uncle Meat is a huge fella, he might be listed as 30mm but he is abnormally large for a human so it's probably more like 40mm.

'Ol Bull Gorg has always been a favorite of mine.
I made my own from a GW ogre and 4 chainswords.
Please excuse the old and very out of focus pic.
