Last Crusade Motorboats
« on: 29 July 2011, 12:51:50 AM »
I bought these three bathtub toy motorboats at the swap meet for between 50 cents and a dollar each.  The were made by Chevron Old Co. and I guess given out as prizes at some time in the distant past.  I liked the fact that they looked like the old wooden motorboats in Indiana Jones Last Crusade.  I cut the bottoms off to make them waterline and added Milliput for water.  I also added a new steering wheel to each because the one they came with was huge.  I then gave each a slightly different paint job/color scheme.  I've included an unpainted Copplestone 28mm figure for scale.  I've included two pictures.  One with the photoshop water and one without.

All Hail the Swap King!! ;)

Well done...don't know where you live or what swap meets you go to, but you have a great collection of terrain and boat items for virtually nothing except some time and effort.
Thanks for sharing.

I have GOT to start hitting the toy stores and dollar stores for these kinds of finds.  Genius!  Do you carry a 28m figure around in your pocket to size it out?  Or do you just eyeball it?

Another little gem!
All of finds are brilliant, well thought out and cheap. What a great combination!
