Zombie Abatement Team Vehicle
« on: July 29, 2011, 01:14:11 AM »
I bought the bus at the swap meet for $1.00.  Bought a second vehicle for another dollar to get the scoop on the front.  The screens over the windows are from Plastruct; the gas can racks are scratch built from plastic and the gas cans are from the Tamiya 1:48 scale Jerry Can Set as are the oil drums on the back of the bus.  The storage on the roof is mostly just pieces of plastic covered by Kleenex and given a coat of clear enamel to make it hard.  I then painted it and found the ZAT decals in my old decal box.  The unpainted figure is from the Copplestone 28mm Sewer Scavengers pack who will form the basis for my Zombie Abatement Team (ZAT).

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Excellent - any markings on the bus to indicate a maker or a scale? It looks perfect for 28mm, and has the "look" of a mobile command unit, which you're captured wonderfully. My own Zombie Abatement Bureau (in my 1920s zombie project which is slowly coming together) will probably have to make do with a Model T van!

Hawkeye, the only markings on the bottom of the bus are "Another DPJ Concept" and "Made in China."  Richard

Inkwell, you are very right!  My only saving grace is that there are still more pieces in the Tamiya box.  Richard

Thanks, Richard - it might be enough to track it down on ebay. As it happens, I already have the Tamiya kit you used for the extras!
