GamerMac makes them.  Great big F*@%-off airships.

Have you had a look at this thread.
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=9801.msg112624#msg112624

If you look at towards the end of the sticky, I've a link to the only not-HMS Aphid of which I'm aware, from Ironclad Miniatures.

Brigade Games has some of the old Parroom Station martian skiffs from the racing game.

However, do go through the sticky; plenty of ideas, and I'll try to find a few more links to old WIP in threads to hang there.

It's why I keep bringing up the sticky in every floaty thingy discussion!

I didnt think I needed to reply, but yes, before I posted this, I read through the sticky. I found it...lacking.

Its a massive amount of homemade ships and the one from Ironclad which I mentioned in my first post.

If nobody produces them commercially and there are no detailed guides about kit-bashing them from available models, seems like there is some money to be made...

Dopey moi! Misread as your first Ironclad lacked a cap; I'm easily confused. ;->=

However, did see your 'good bases to start...' post, and thought kitbashes were fair game. Now I realize you meant for new producers to use, though I consider them 'too modern' (have had to eat those words before...). I'd think better some model steamships, especially steam launch or yacht kits, though perhaps better for the 15mm crowd, as, by your examples, I'm assuming 28mm.

Yea, I'm looking at 28mm. That should roughly be 1/60 scale?
