Some pics from SoTR games down at the club

Not as much a battle report than a slew of pictures from our gameday where we tried out some of our army lists for the upcoming Swedish SoTR tournament.

How did the Jet Rangers run? I've been thinking about using a squad in my American force.

Doesn't look like they could do much with only pistols.  Would seem smarter to outfit assault troops with SMGs and explosives or is this more like a 40K kinda squad?

Those count as SMG's, the models have "SMG" in their weapon profile and these are the original models so I guess they are some sort of machine pistols of equal ability.

The Jet Rangers are lovely models, though they are damn hard to play well with. They are quite weak with their Light Personnel armor so they pretty much die if you drop them behind some enemy unit. You also have to be really careful where you move them on the board, and they cannot use they long range "jet jump" to place explosives, you have to use their regular assault move like regular infantry. They do have the "drop grenades from above" ability which is useful and should probably be limited to that role alone. But that often requires perfect terrain features to allow them to jump from behind cover A to cover B. Because if you land in cover they can be killed by accident as well.
