What do you think of their modern armor?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I have a few of their pieces and I like them overall.  A little rough and some excess glue here and there (they have an option of having the models pre-assembled and primed).  I have never bought directly from them though.  In fact, I was hoping to pick up a few more pieces from a company that had carried their models last year at Gen Con.  The company was no longer carrying Hobby Armor Depot and when I asked why they said that they have had some troublesome business dealings with them.  Sorry I don't have more specifics.  I've never heard anyone who bought directly from them weigh in either for or against their service though.  It's a shame that they're not more widely available because they have some pieces you can't find easily elsewhere.

From what I've read, HAD is not a good business to deal with:

Your experience may vary, of course.

What do you think of their modern armor?

Aside from all the issues mentioned above/TMP, the quality looks cack, compared to Imprint, TAG, Company B, Fenris, or prety much anyone else I can think of.

Not to beat a dead horse, but HAD or whatever they are calling themselves are notorious for just casting anyones models. A good portion of their WW2 line are recast Gas.oline models. The moderns are casts of models kit from various manufacturers, Solido Diecasts, and even Transformer toys from Hasbro.  You can even see the casting flaws found in Solido models in the resin casts.  On the moderns, you can also see the seams where the transformer parts would fold together in vehicle mode.  He does not have any of our stuff in there though, nor does he copy from other "28mm" companies.  Seems limited to die casts and toys from companies in Europe. It has been mentioned before that they take 1/48 kits and repurpose them.

I had brought this up with oliver at Gas.oline/Quarter-kit a few years ago, and after investigating and conforming the issues, there really was nothing he could do since they are here in the US.

All we can do is not buy from him.  He may have started to pay for a few original masters, but that still does not excuse years of infringement.
