Read the rules and really like the look of them. I did have one question - why are hellguns so powerful?

In the original game, a hellgun is significantly less powerful than a bolter, but here it is significantly more powerful?

The Hellgun in ItEN is based more on the Hotshot Lasgun from the current IG Codex. A Bolgun is S4 AP5 but the HS Lasgun is S3 AP3. It just ignores Power Armour! Tidy, as we say in Wales.

Btw, ItEN has just passed the 4,000 downloads mark in just 4 days. Methinks there is a serious market out there for simple SF Skirmish rules.

Crazy, but understandable - apart from the changes from 2nd to 3rd Ed. (I think it was) not much has happened to the official rules the last 30 years. We need to be able to use our minis as soon as they are painted, not wait until we have 50+ ready for the table  an still have a fun hour of gaming.  :)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Definitely, but dont discount the affection for the 40K fluff.

While there are many haters (who have plenty of reason to hate to be honest) a very large percentage of miniature gamers have their roots in the GW stuff and have a corresponding affection for it.

Loads of people like the 40K books and video games etc, own loads of the miniatures and want to game the setting, while avoiding the current official rules and need for huge amounts of figures.  You guys are catering for that admirably and getting the download numbers to match.

So thanks again.  Keep it up please :)
