Just as a quick reminder, next round (starting on Monday, 19th Nov.), will be the final round of the first season of the Lead Painters´ League. And don´t forget, it´s a specially-themed round.

Apart from that, rather than having random pairings as usual, this turn, I will select the pairings to make the voting as nerve-wrackingly exciting as possible. In particular, this refers to the current leader and runner-up of the League Table, which will face off in a climactic finale.

For all those who did not make the top ranks, I´ll make sure that the pairings will be exciting and rewarding, hopefully providing for a fine wrap-up of this great event. Of course, it´s my decision, and I err, as humans do, so excuse me if it doesn´t work out to "all draws" in the end.

Just in case anyone feels disadvantaged in view of his chosen opponent, I´m sorry, but I can only assure you that I´ll make the pairings as impartial as possible, with no one influencing my decision and no personal aims or intentions at all. Period. I just want to put up a great show finale.

Well, that´s it pretty much. Just want to get you painting up some cthulhoid monstrosities ASAP, I cannot wait to see your entries.

Oh, and as a sidenote, I´m totally incorruptible, so don´t even THINK of trying

I haven't been able to paint as much as I would have liked (maybe next season eh? :

: ) but I have LOVED seeing everyones amazingly high quality entries!

I think this whole things has been very well run. I realize you have to make all those caveats Professor (since, at least in American society, we like to blame everyone for our loss but ourselves) but I think everyone here knows that you have and will continue to provide a fair place for painters to compete against others.

Yup, good one. I always enjoy the mondays when I can judge the pictures together with my son. I try to teach him the subtleties of good painting, not always with the desired results. Dialogs like "This one must be better, it's painted black, and you said black is difficult." - "Yes, but it still looks like ****" or "Look, it's got freehand!" - "No, that's just a decal." have become quite commonplace

I am very much looking forward to the next season. I might even participate, although I won't stand a chance!

I think you have run it quite nicely. Thanks to all the painters that contributed and Prof. for putting it all together. There have been a number of beautifly painted figures, plus some figures I never knew existed. I can't wait to see the final round and the end results.

And its been great to be involved. A BIG well done for organising it all. I have had a great deal of fun on a monday morning looking at all the entries and seeing with some degree of trepidation who I have been paired up against!

I think all the entries in the LEague should be saved for posterity in a fancy recopilatry PDF...

Why do all such things seem to have to include a reference to the company that shall not be named?!? What´s wrong with "LEAD ADVENTURE AWARDS 2007"?

My spiked helmet off for you Professor for running a great league.

It has been great fun and very interesting seeing what peolpe will come up with for the next round. Mondays were never this exciting before the LPL.

Great competition, great entries and great entrants.

and although I have to admit that this is my first post here and that I have not been able to paint myself the last year, I followed the competition from the beginning and it really enriched my Mondays over the last months - thanks to the prof for organizing and everyone else for some really good paint jobs! :mrgreen:

Well, Zoogla and I did some Space Hulking ages ago, but I guess the win/loss ratio of those games makes me a very impartial judge of his painting skills :wink:
