1BC type Cowboy & Indian Rules?
« on: 19 September 2011, 02:32:52 PM »
My Better Half's nephews aged 7 and 8 have taken a shine to my miniatures, and I've picked up some cheap toy soldiers and printed off the 1 Brain Cell army men rules to introduce them to wargaming. They also want a go at cowboys & Indians. Anyone know of a set similar to 1BC for the wild west?
Waiter, my soup is giggling.

Why mine of course! Fistful of Lead. $5 and you can even read reviews:

also a review at Whitewash City:

I run this all the time at our local con. By about turn 3, I just walk away and the players run it themselves. I believe this is what you're looking for.

Or write your own, on the back of a fag packet, and save yourself the $5

  ;)

Kids want lots of dice to roll, simple rules, and a game that lasts no more than an hour.

Thanks guys. I'm far too lazy to write rules and don't smoke anymore  ;) Hastati has been kind enough to send me a set he wrote for his little uns.

$5 is cheaper than a pack of smokes. Mine were written with young gamers in mind. Oh, well.

I'm sure they're great rules, but kids can be fickle and I'm not prepared to spend much  apart from acquiring pound shop toy soldiers for them.
