Oh! And speaking of sisters, mine used to do a lot of craft-type stuff with greetings cards and such. You can get some really fluffy paper already. It is quite heavy gauge and textured.

Might be worth giving this a go...

Paper towel and printers do not mix (trust me I am a Doctor IT manger)

Best thing is to use a canvas style picture paper - these come in different textures and will give a slightly raised pattern.
