Haven't done much in the last (years.. OMG I need more time for my hobby)
anyhow..here is something I was working on and thought I might show you...



my first attempt to build something "organic" after all that terrain

I was going to say, now all you need is a 28mm Kevin Bacon miniature. ('cos this is obviously a "Footloose" related thread) and...that is brilliant! So, so many potential uses on a gaming table or it would look amazing in a diorama.

(suddenly I crave crisps, spice flavour I think..)

It is just some tinfoil rolled up for the core (makes a nice lightweight and cheap base, that can be moulded into the rough shape) and then I wrapped some polymer clay around it.
I cut sheets of clay into strips and imprinted them with a floral pattern stencil (my wife makes jewelry, so I have good resource of patterns etc) I thought this pattern looked a little like veins.
The teeth are also made from polymer clay and just glued in with liquid clay. Everything goes into the oven for 15 min and voila done...a nice worm.

I just wondered what was this reference to DUNE? Is that something I should know about?

Nah, I just wanted to see how long we could go in the thread without someone shouting "SPICE MUST FLOW!".  

That's a good method to know, I'll have to remember it for when I need a few quick, cheap nasties to trouble my players with.
