The '88 is the old plastic Bandai 1/48th scale model dropped in a low temp mould, and the crew are a brilliant example of what I was saying about a lack of any real research.

Sorry I was so slow, but here's a comparison between the Black Tree Design americans and Bolt Action plastic brits:

Edit: I might as well add that they're standing in front of Sarissa Precision's MDF houses as well.

Not to derail the thread, but how did you add texture to those houses?

I use this stuff:

and I stiple it on with a regular brush. Since it's effectively an acrylic medium, it's made for mixing with paint. I used to be a wall filler kind of guy until Galland introduced me to this stuff.

Here you can see my Germans from the BTD range inclusive the motorcycles:

The early/mid war range is very good, but for the later period I prefer some other seller like Crusader, Warlord Games, Artizan etc. ...

Thanks for the comparison shots - lovely building and painting

to my eyes the Warlord are a little slimmer and smaller

If I was starting afresh then they would be a good choice but I think I would always notice the difference, I can be a little anal like that.

Thanks again
No dear, they are not toys, they are models
