I know I was really pleased to read of the partnership. I am already a fan of the Song of' games, and plan to do the Apoc stuff as soon as I burn out on fantasy.
WHAT do you mean I lost!!! I had MORE fun!

I WOULD have said this is the best news I heard all week, but the wife just came home with our new puppy...and you know, its a tough call between a fluffy ball of cuteness and a slow agonising death from radiation absorption!
I have almost all the Song of... books (save the Arthurian ones) and the complete range of LAF PA minis (except the legends! I need them!) do this is great news for me!

Well,  when you get ready to test them let me know, and we'll see how they stack against the rules I have been using.

Hmm, need to get out my Fallout terrain again...

A-effing-MAZING! We've been playing games using the Lead Adventure miniatures and Flying Lead for some time now and we love the rules! They are fun, easy to use (but not boringly simple), fast and very versatile! I haven't played MDRG yet, but from what I've seen so far, Ganesha games have strong similarities across the ranges and allow the use of elements of one rulebook while using another... hence the "versatile" judgement! Very excited about these news, Professor!

Any news on this? Seems to be in development, but no definite time-schedule.

I am thrilled. Simly put.  8)

I’ve sent a letter to Andrea from Ganesha Games, hope he’ll be able to tell more about the timeline.

Off topic, but:

Just one question, then: How do you handle targeting the ground with speculative fire with a hand grenade?

It came up the last time we played FL, and we had to make some decisions on-the-fly as we simply could not find it covered by the rules (a mercenary trooper standing behind a subway entrance wanted to throw a grenade over the walls of the stairway to try hurting one of Trixie's Midnight Runners, Eileen, who just ran up to the other side of the entrance. She was standing too close to the opposite wall to be targeted, but a grenade could be lobbed over the entrance, landing a couple of yards away, and hopefully hurt Eileen in the blast).

Sounds good. He is often caught up in too many projects at a time, though, which may delay some things.

Thanks for the comments guys! Yes Apocalypticum is largely written and partially tested (by my local group). Unfortunately I cannot share it yet with testers because I had to write most special rules in Italian (as some of my players do not speak English well). I guess I'll be looking for external playtesters here as soon as I have a complete English language draft... early December, hopefully so you can play during Xmas ;-)

Re: general lobbying of a grenade. If you use the FL rules, see p.17 and apply the modifiers for throwing a grenade over an obstacle. It really depends on the shape of the wall, whether the soldier can detect where the opponents are etc. But in the case of speculative throwing, I would apply at least a -1 to his Q rolls for deviation purposes.

Andrea
