Mini-Sub WIP Pictorial - FINISHED Oct 27, 2011
« on: 25 October 2011, 07:51:15 PM »
I was fidgeting with an ancient Happy Meal toy yesterday...

Update:  I consolidated all the big pictures into one.

Gobsmacked!

What's the black tail boom thingy?

Looks like an otoscope tip, or perhaps the original stand?

The tail is one of those tips for a doctor's light that he uses to look in your ear.  I ask for a few of those whenever I go to the doctor - they're amazingly useful.

The other parts are either plasticard or bits of n-scale aircraft.

***snip***

Yeah, otoscope, though I've heard it called an otolarynscope, as many doctors also poke it into noses and throats and, oh, I don't want to know. ;->=

Always thought about snaggin' a few myself. Tiny funnel, aircraft fairing, nose cone; the possibilities are impressive.

By the way, wicked looking sub! I'd have never thought. Oh, I said that already, didn't I.

I'd also point out that the propeller still spins if you blow on it...

Fantastic. I really like the shark teeth detail.  :D

Cheers.
