I once purchased a digital download for an RPG. It was watermarked with my credit card information - a potent way persuade people not 'share' their purchase.

Yes something like that would make sense. I'm not a fan of the "huge and diagonally across the page" watermarks either. But a discreet but personal watermark like that would suffice.

The download had the information imprinted across the top 1/4" of each page. Quite easy to do, as well. A little labour-intensive, but it all depends on volume.

My take on this whole thing, for what it's worth.
I plan to buy all the rules and additions for the game.
Saw Uncle Mike was having a great looking sale and plan to order.
That was early in the month.
Seemed pretty clear to me that some stuff was limited in numbers.
So what happenned, I put off buying.
Then find out that what I wanted was gone.
Who is to blame, ME. Could have ordered early in the month.
Most of us have limited funds for gaming I know I do.
So we have to pick and choose what we buy.
I know that my world will not end if I don't buy these rules today, tomorrow, or next month.
Please remember, most of those who put out games do it as a labor of love.
They are not going to get rich. Maybe we need to be a little more understanding.

Thanx guys for the responses. I honestly didn't mean to create any bad feelings or whathaveyou. Just the way running a business goes I guess...can't make everyone happy with your decisions. That said we will be looking at a PDF some time in the future...so the rules can remain 'in print'. Until then...you can still get copies from the stores that carry our product. We are just sold out. Again, sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and I do value your opinions...they help us make decisions.
