Reptillian Elementals?
« on: October 29, 2011, 11:36:50 PM »
Hello all - I'm in the early stages of planning a project, and I've run into a snag.
I'm trying to make a "lizard wizard" character - that is a lizardman wizard who uses retile themed sorcery and spellcraft.
Here's some info and a shameless plug on him, if anyone is interested.  :D

I'll be using a Wyrd Silurid Slave as his base - but that's not important.

What I need are reptillian elementals. Large-ish representations of the magical elements (fire, water, earth, air, ice, lightening, etc.) in a reptillian form.
Serpents, lizards, frogs, toads, heck - even dragons as long as they fit the bill.
So far, this is what I have found.

This Viking Forge Dragonewt in the shape of a delightfully long and curly Basilisk or Jesus lizard serves nicely as a water elemental.

This Fenryll fire dragon is a perfect flame elemental for obvious reasons.

And lastly, this ice creature which could also function as an earth elemental - but I'd like a separate force of nature for the earth element.

I mostly only need Earth and Wind, but anything really is quite helpful.
Oh, except the Reaper Ice Toad. He's a cool model, but he isn't what I'm looking for to fill this niche - and I plan to use him as a naturally armored giant toad anyways.

May take some looking, but the old Star Frontiers minis range had a lizard-like lava/rock critter that would suit for your earth category.  I might have one kicking around in storage, will take a look next time I get a chance.

Is that the "megasaurus"?

EDIT>
I've found my earth elemental - the Dragon Blood Lava Lizard fills the spot nicely!

Now all I need is an air creature - hopefully this thread won't just sink to the bottom before anyone can help...

Gotta be a Chinese Dragon in a cloud that should fit that bill? Give me a bit, and I'll find one...

How about one of the old Partha Ghost dragons for the air elemental? Iron Wind still has most of the Old Partha dragons.

I've considered him - his wings make him feel awfully cluttered and I'm not sure whether I like them or not, but he would make a good air manifestation...
I'll certainly keep him in mind, now that I've seen a painted version!

Can anyone think of any more?

(I get this weird feeling whenever I bump one of my Lead Adventure threads that I'm doing something unwanted...  :-X )

I know RAFM do elemental dragons as well. I would also suggest searching the less obvious bendy plastic sources for dragons as well, once primed and painted you can't tell the difference.

I don't mind the bumps. Just be sure to add what you find to your own topic!
WHAT do you mean I lost!!! I had MORE fun!

WOW!
I think we have a winner,  hopefully I'll be financially well off enough to make this purchase when the time comes!
Really appreciate all the help, folks! Thanks a bunch!

Aslo, secondary elementals (Light, dark, electricity, magma, etc. ) are much appreciated, but not at all needed. Thanks!
