New Polish Early War cavalry from Forged in Battle!

Made me super excited when I saw their small promotion picture so I asked them for larger pictures so the models could be studied more up close. Cavalry in Adrian Helmets and the 10th Motorized Cavalry brigade are also in the works!

Lovely news and especially good news for early war buffs. The detail is excellent for 15 mm.

Previous Forged in Battle figures are much better quality sculpts/castings than some other leading brands.
Their vehicles and guns are usually top notch too.

We have occasionally picked up FiB stuff from Maelstrom's ebay site, it has free postage and is listed at 10% off normal RRP.

I too find the sculpting and quality of casts superior to other brands in the 15mm WW2 department. Though it should be known that FiB are slightly smaller than BF and will not mix well within the same unit.

Did you ever get a response from your comment to FiB about the lances?

I see these are now available, but am hoping they will do sabres at some point...

Yep been having some contact with Forged in Battle over the last few days. Started with the release of the Polish cavalry which was armed with lances. So I emailed them and asked if they would be making more cavalry, since I had specifically suggested to them arming the cavalry with sabers just about the time they first gave us a glimpse of the cavalry command.

Got the answer that cavalry in Adrian helmets armed with sabers would follow! Really looking forward to all their Polish early war releases the dismounted cavalry and hinted at 10th motorized brigade.

Anyway, got a list and a bunch of pictures of the December releases which I posted on my blog. The early war highlanders are pretty damn cool.

The guy who paints all the models for FiB is damn skilled, and is also for some reason basing the models on individual bases. Got me wondering if many people use their 15mm stuff like that for "skirmish games" on a smaller level?

Indeed, and honestly quite a dealbreaker for me as I really want all my cavalry to have sabers :-)
