Hi  Just to let you know, I THE CID will be on the latest series of Mastermind which has just started tonight. I dont know which week im on, so keep a look out. I answered questions on the Zulu War, which I did OK, apart from getting a real easy one wrong by not taking my time. It was all going well until the dreaded General knowledge started. Anyway I wont spoil it for you. THE CID.

At least in a pub quiz team there is usually a token numpty included to blame. To paraphrase an old joke, if you look around at the team and cant see a numpty then its probably you.

I think LAF should get a team together for "only connect", I quite fancy Victoria Coren

Yes, you've got more guts than me! I occasionally think "I could do that" after watching an episode, but know I'd choke and get an obvious one wrong that I would be teased about for eternity 

ps - Victoria Coren, eh? She does have a certain charm

I look forward to seeing it Mastermind is required viewing in our house, although one of my housemates has an amusing aversion to John Humphries face.

Only Connect is also required viewing as well and funnily enough there is no aversion to the Quizmistress and I'd be up for that - Although would we be the Wargamers or the Admirers?

Did you see Chris Packham on the celebrity version over Christmas? His subject was Rorke's Drift and he kicked ass. I briefly wondered if our own CID was actually TV's wildlife guy Chris Packham. I guess not.

HI  Chris Packham did answer questions on rorkes drift, only one battle, but I think the questions are a bit dumbed down for the celebs. The general knowledge questions were quite easy, compared to mine. I am not a bitter man            .    I am really.   THE CID.

No apologies for preference for brown/bronze skinned, brown-eyed brunettes.
