Thanks for the compliments, guys.  I appreciate them.

I guess it turned out alright.  I wish it had turned out more like I intended, if that makes sense.

Still trying to get those discrete, non blended skills developed.

Now to find some decals... :)

Try using the washes and filters from MIG productions.  They have a good medium green wash that will help darken up those recessed areas.  as it dries, you can lift some of the wash out with a cloth or brush to highlight areas.

After that, you can rub a lighter color oil paint into the middle of the panel to add a weathered look to the paint.

Easy to do, and the effects are great.

What kind of lighter colored oil paint?  I've used acrylics thus far and an oil paint could dissolve it.

Thanks for the great advice, of course.  Never would have thought of using green.  I guess it is like using purple for flesh.
