It's the other progeny, which goes by the moniker Can O' Beer.

Fivers is quite a much bigger boy. He's into that pirate lark, by the way, just like Cptn Blood, malamute, Galland and alll others not quite grown ups yet...

I don't quite know how to express this so in one short sentence: it is quite touching to have ones little boy realized in miniature. And by the great Paul Hicks to. Thanks, Alex.

You had to be the prime candidate, the dog was a given and a very cold ten mile walk with my own dogs gave me the time to think of the third protagonist. Alex also said that there was a previous answer 66% correct which sort of confirmed the first two.
