Needing some links and suggestions from learned LAF members.

I am looking to do 'something' with a number of disparate looking (disparate in equipment, battle dress, etc) moderns or very-near future minis (i.e. not too much sci-fi gubbins) that scale well with Infinity. For examples of the not-too sci-fi types I would consider from the Infinity range:

Foxtrot Ranger

Ariadna SAS

Basically stuff that can have simple weapon swaps to work as pseudo modern military 'character' types, each with a distinctive look.

Any pointers or help greatly appreciated. :)

Sci-Fi from Hasslefree (may be a little short):

Sci-Fi from Heresy (may be a bit short):

Some of these may be a bit too sci-fi but there is a nice selection of believable body armour and weaponry...so that is my excuse :) .

Thanks Inso. I looked at a few HF ones, but I was worried they may be too 'Kev-height' for my needs (no offence to Mr White - beautiful sculpts).

Basically I want stuff that won't be too bulky or too much based around hard armour and body suit combos (one or two characters in my 'something' plan may go that way - female only), and no 'heroic' proportions with hands the size of heads (ruling out Eureka moderns I think). Also guns need to be accessible to be swapped out with fair ease for contemporary examples as my GS skills are a bit limited.

Anybody have any scale comparison links for Empress and/or Black Scorpion moderns with other stuff or height rulers?

EDIT: also, if anyone can point me towards modern-ish weapon pack manufacturers that would be cool. I am aware of RAFM, Reaper (Chronoscope) and Heresy.

The Assault Group, Hasslefree again.

Sounds like someone is thinking about doing a G.I. Joe team to me. Then again I could be projecting. The guy in the stocking mask would make an excellent Beachhead for my Joe project.

I think that's the first time I've heard Eureka Moderns described as 'Heroic'.  :?

Frankly, I don't think there is anything out there that will correctly scale to Infinity figs; including other Infinity figs.  The proportionate scale of an Infinity mini is nowhere near 28mm.  They may be tall, but they are not bulky enough to even represent 25mm in some cases.  I have seen 20mm models with heads the size of the SAS mini you listed.

I am in love with the look of the Infinity range, but I just can't find a consistency in their actual scaling to buy more.  And I can't find anything that will come close to use for weapon, head, or hand swaps.

Good luck, and if you find something that works, please let me know.

Well I thought Ghost in the Shell, but that just might be me projecting  ::)

I can't think of any other than the ones Inso has mentioned, that said I have mixed mine with some (of the less bulky) EM4/Copplestone, but then again I'm not that much of a scale fanatic, as long as the model is of the better scaled sort (head to body ratio).

Looking at the pics, the hands looked GW-size large, which put me off. Maybe the pics are deceptive?

I don't know, I have the Eureka Marines and SEALs and don't think the hands are out of proportion, in fact, they are some of the best sculpted figures I have.  A few clearly have gloves on, but I don't consider the hands too big.

May i suggest the Rezolution Stuff from Aberrant Games, theyre large 28mm/30mm Minis and they fit well with Infinty.

Left to right:Empress modern/Infinity/Rezolution/AT-43

The Rezolution CSO Faction has very nice "near Future" Troopers,as you can see theyre very close to modern Warfare Minis-in Poses/Gear etc

Empress modern mixed with Rezolution CSO

Would I be right in thinking that Eureka and Empress are of a similar size?
