A Good Dagon stand-in?
« on: 26 September 2006, 11:55:23 PM »
I have just been trawling the net and stumbled across this figure by Reaper Miniatures  :o , and I thought it would make a great replacement for Dagon in a Diorama setting coming up out of the water.

What do you guys think?

The figure is called #2919 Burrowing Horror

I just noticed that Burrowing horror in the Reaper catalog the other day....

I just love it!  It would work great for Dagon!  Get one and paint that bad boy up!

Sorry dont have a link to the home page for this, posted today on Leisure Games new release sheets:

PIP74006 Skorne Basilisk Krea *Pre Order*
Due: January 31st 2007
Hordes Miniature by Privateer Press
Price:   £9.99

Looks alot like Dagon (With some armour), should proberly be about 40mm, Not really big enough, but then again, pretty much all the produced Deep Ones are usually small fry anyway (Grenadier/Metal Magic/Rafm (Pack 1) Reviresco)

Is that what you are talking about?  I think of DEEP ONES when I see that, but not of Dagon...

Its because the of the size, that made me think its proberly going to be the best stand in we are likely to get for a full bodied Dagon unless Rafm produce one.

For years I have been using an Old Harlequinn/Black Tree Sea Troll (About 45mm).
And have the Dark-Ages wood nymph (?) as Mother Hydra (Better used as an aspect of Shub-Niggurath that one).

Dont have the names or links on me, as am at work...

I guess I was just assuming Dagon would be more colossal....like this one from SOTA toys..

I have the Cthulhu from that range....good stuff!!

Imagine that guy on the table, surrounded by 'Skorne Basilisk' Deep Ones! That would make someone lose an insanity point or two! LOL
