Steampunk-Skirmish rules
« on: 23 December 2011, 07:12:30 PM »
Not sure if anybody posted that yet, the Beta-rules for "Wolsung" are ready for download.

Haven't red them yet, but I guess they might be of interest ;)

I just looked it through quickly and it looks like an interesting game plus it had a nice look to it.

Thanks for the link Tobias I'll have a look.

I idn't read the rules yet but the scenery and the miniatures from Micro Art are fantastic.

Any idea where the cars come from ?

I wish I were an octopus to paint more miniatures...Cthulhu must be a great painter

Urgh... I really must learn to stay away from you lot. Now you've got me all excited about yet another new game  lol
Downloaded the beta rules but only had a quick scan through. Looks promising so far from what I've seen and my wallets already looking nervous too  :D
...and what fresh new hell is this?

Same for me...I hate you Tobias : now I need to read the rules, play the game and buy Steampunk miniatures.

My list is long : Wyrd (a lot but I already have the ones I need), Reaper (a few), Micro Art (a bunch but not all), Guild of Harmony (only 2 minis but awesome ones), Anima (a few), Darksword (Jen haley mini only but the best one)...for a mix of the nicest steampunk miniatures on the market.

Looks very interesting (and a great excuse to use Malifaux figures and other steam-punky figure lines) in a different setting...

Sometimes I hate myself, for the same reasons lol
I use for my Steampunk project also Wyrd minis, plus Foundry, GW, Warmachine, Bronze Age, Relic, Rackham (Dirz)...
Will get some more Wyrd and maybe some Micro Art too.

Oh, Tobias!
What have you done?

There is now somethink else that may distract me from ever getting that Hellboy project to fruition....

Some of those scenery elements look fantastic!
 :-*

I can see myself falling for some of this too............

Dang you to heck Microarts for trying to get to my wallet again!

Anyhow. Didn't read the rules yet. Do they have steam? Do they have punk? Or is just a chep marketing gimmick ("Let's slap a buzzword on the cover and it'll sell like hotcakes!")?

EDIT: OK so they weren't too steapunkish. Err, steampunky. Err, whatever. Pretty standard fare but probably playable, with some small oddities I couldn't quite figure out on a single reading (didn't bother with any FAQ or the like yet since it's unlikely I'll actuall ever game this). Maybe the steam stuff will come with the vehicle rules, when (or if) they do appear.

Upcoming releases from the Wolsung SSG on MA Forum:
http://microartstudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20310

While some of the WSSG minis are nice enough, hopefully MA won't spend all their resources on this project alone. I want more "designed for Infinity" stuff!

looks good and looks good mechanics but sadly its not very generic so allot of my stuff once again will be unusable .. may have to stick to my own rules (now 20 years old) wich weirdly these are sorta similar to with their actions...

The final rules will included the option of making your own stats, so could be used with other minis too ;)

But if you have a nice ruleset for steampunk made by your own, feel free to share it with us :)

I suppose this was more or less inevitable:

I wonder if Housemaids have rules that make it difficult for them to run, especially in broken terrain :P
