I'd guess tissue glue. MDF (MittelDichte Faserplatte, oder Medium Dense Fibreboard) is essentialy nothing else than wood fibres, so everything you use for wood should also work on those. As tissue glues are rather troublesome to deal with (dissolving, heating ...) I would recommend withe glue unless you are a carpenter and already use that stuff.

For all my MDF work I use PVA wood glue/white glue available from DIY and hobby shops.
Now water can flow....or water can crash...be water my friend.

i agree. But you have to be careful about the wetting of the mdf itself though. it risks to bend!

I would use wood glue rather than pva as they are more resin based and are stronger for handling.

I use wood glue when building furniture with MDF and it works great
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...

OT: Just out of interest: You have other wood glues than PVA? Or are they just PVA based with more resin?

I honestly don't know the make up of them but they do have a resin base. I get mine from a builders merchants as opposed to an art shop and it certainly is stronger.

Thanks for all the help. For once I had glue on hand. With any luck I'll post some picks when they are done.

it's worth using a dash of superglue as well on bigger joins along with wood glue - in a dash (of Wood glue)/ dot (of superglue)/ dash pattern along the join - as the superglue sets quickly and holds the joint in place while the wood glue sets properly.

Just make sure it's thicker superglue as the watery stuff will soak away before you get a chance to assemble  :)

For my Sarissa buildings, I used watered down white glue, about a 50/50 mix. I assembled the building and then put a rubber band around the walls to hold them in place, and then I painted the glue into the inside corners and just let it dry, now they're pretty solid, and since I glued the inside, I can use stains and washes for weathering the wood on the outside.
