Last of 2011 - Brawners Farm 1862, BR2G AAR
« on: 03 January 2012, 08:12:26 PM »
Last friday we re-fought Brawners Farm for our first game using Herr Bickley's 'Bull Run to Gettysburg'. Really enjoyable game and rules, very elegant, easy to learn and with a very nice period feel... Very impressed with them.

Was a close run thing, with Skip and Sean as Union rolling sixes like I have never seen... Skip, formerly known as King of the 1s, was on fire with the dice. They gave my Confederates a real pounding and it all hinged on one combat... Which Skip promptly rolled a 1 for morale! My army was ripped to shreds though in taking the road and I was almost at breaking point. Excellent game, could have easily gone either way, and great to see Skip and Sean's dice out perform mine!

Anyway, a few pics from last night...

Splendid pictures of the one true period, in its proper scale too! Glad you like the rules.

Great collection you have there - I love the variety you have achived with the multi-figure bases makes a change from the usual 'four-figures marching'.
