Craig of KillerB games wrote me that he'd read what I'd written about GAFDOZ. And summa summarum he'd refunded my money and taken my comments with him. Boy! Now that is customer service. I protested against the refund but now I've decided to go and spend the money at Killer B's store. Only thing holding me back is that I have to check the basement first to see what I haven't bought already. ...
Even if I ain't gonna be using their rules I'm still using those lovely Bob sculpts! Everybody go buy something from them nowlol

Lovly miniatures they are, and several are at the top in my "to buy" list.

Glad to deal with companies like that. There are lots of nice people in our hobby!

Best wishes.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Mother Lovebone and her 4 toddlers. Aliens to the bone.

Made this for Mr. Ward without his consent. They're off in the mail now... it'll be interesting to see how they fare!

Knuckle Duster 28mm Old West miniatures review:

They're awesome.

Here are some size comparison shots:

Dixon, Knuckleduster, Boot Hill, Knuckleduster, Dixon

Old Glory, Knuckleduster, Dixon, Knuckleduster, Boot Hill, Knuckleduster, Reaper

Slightly off Boot Hill (as the modern 28mm representative) and Old Glory (as the O.G. representative) but spot on with Dixon and Reaper.

I love the sculpt of The Man With No Name.

Is the OG representative a silhouette ??? lol

I also like The Man With No Name, he is instantly recognisable. :)

I had a blast painting those heroes of the old West set and the marvelous seven set. I spent some time looking at pictures online to ensure I got as close as I could in colors.

Even if people don't give a damn I'll keep on truckin'

Strictly speaking a repost, but I'd like to keep my Retro Space project together in this thread.. which has failed miserably so far. But I'm thinking that some of the gents who followed this thread originally would be spared of my efforts if I  didn't repost...

Paul Romney and Mitt Ryan. A pair of Space Pilots lost on their voyage to fame and intergalactic reknown. Now marooned in a cold and desolate enviroment without the slightest contact to the civilised world.

Will the European Space Force with Intergalactic Hero Carl Blixt be able to save them?!

I went for a 'downed x-wing pilot' look. And I tried to go a new way with skin colours starting out from khaki instead of the usual offerings...  :)

Everything is looking lovely, but I am seriously impressed with those cardboard tables.

Great stuff!

Re: Dr. The Viking's current ramblings: Prussian tanks!
« Reply #239 on: 08 September 2012, 08:54:22 AM »
OK so I'm back at VSF for a moment.. spurred by the Triumph and Tragedy rules that promise to invigorate our game after it died in the hands of the last set we used.

T&T is at once tactic and fast... and not cluttered up in nonsense. Thumbs up. In retrospect I don't know why we tried the German rules lastly... if anyone should be able to deliver a set of good rules it should be a German!   ;)

In our VSF setting Prussia and England is not at war as such. They have a general mistrust of each other but they don't fight a land war in Europa akin to a world war or something. It's strictly war by proxy in the colonies of Asia and Africa.

But as things are getting hotter I thought the Prussians would start to employ factory like conditions to their armour production. Steam tanks have proved to be the way forward and the reknowned scientist engineer Udo Frank has designed a new tank that makes up for it's lack of speed in it's ease of construction. It is the AX-VII:

The production line. Welding teams are coming next to install wheels and cogs.

More of the concept. Not a prototype but just a general image.

The locomotive mechanism

The plans must not befall the British and secrecy is of the utmost importance. The Prussians hope to launch a never seen before brutish strike against the British and once and for all knock out the Empire.
