Hotlead 2012 is getting organized

Happy New Year!

Hotlead 2012 is less than 3 months away (March 23. 24 25), so it's time to put out a call for Game Masters once again.

This year we're going to offer a prize for "Best Theme Game" and the theme will be the War of 1812. And I mean the real War of 1812 between Britain and the US, not that minor sideshow in Russia! Any scale, land or naval. We will give out the award around 1700 hrs on the Saturday, so if you're really keen to win then schedule your game for sometime before then.

Other miniature games are of course welcome. Land, naval or air. Any scale. Any period. Fantasy, SF or historical. As long as it has miniatures it is welcome at Hotlead. GMs get in free for the weekend. If you're game is particularly big, complex and can entertain a lot of gamers, then I will at my discretion allow an assistant GMto get in free too.

SIZE OF TABLE (the hotel tables come in 6x2.5 feet so think in terms of that, 4 of them can make a 6x10 or 5x12 table easily) The default gaming table size is 6x5)

We'll be running our popular Bring and Buy this year again. This year the chosen charities are the Army Cadets and Scouts. 3 of us work with the Army Cadets and one of us has been a Scout Leader for about 30 years, so it seemed a natural thing to help these youth groups.

Hmm, I might just try and attend HL this year.  Do you know when an itinerary will be available?

I say I'm going every year, but it never happens. Another baby due in March, so I won't even pretend this year!

@Timbor: I've sent the first batch of game listings off to my web guy and he says they'll be up by the weekend. Honest. 
@LeadAsbestos: congratulations! New additions to the family definitely take priority. I imagine we'll still be around in a few years when  the family is old enough to let dad get away for a couple of days. Until then, enjoy.
