Other Weird War settings

Besides WW2, WW1, and Napoleonic settings (possibly, those elvish/orcish/undead rules, whoe name I forget,) what time periods have you guys played WWW type games in?

Gracias,

Glenn

I had plans for a Gulliver's Travels army, which I guess would technically be a Weird War of Spanish Succession.

Not sure if they count, but I've played weird ACW (a mix of VSF & Deadlands), toyed with a weird Texian revolution (or atleast a setting where every now and again those colonial gothic myths and legends come true), and am building a large selection of 'mythical' dark age armies (Possibly more fantasy than weird, but many of the elements are the same... especially when I get around to borrowing ideas from Stargate & Outlander to incorperate aliens)

Some Liliputians, a Brobdinagnian or two, a charge of Hoonyinms, some corralled Yahoos and and handful of Laputans with experimental weaponry. Liliput is only the first section of the book, there's plenty more to look at.

Does Weird Western stuff count? More skirmishes than outright war but it could be expanded to Plains War etc.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Well there are quite a few hard sci-fi style games which have "strange phenomenon" included.

I have done Weird ACW in and around the Indian Territory
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I haven't done any weird war gaming (yet).
But after seeing 'R Point' I'd be tempted to give a Nam setting a try.

I could easily see some modern settings being used for weird wars.

I did that for Hordes of the Things.  They were undead Lilliputians, actually.  Mounted up on the 28mm base sizes, it looked like a proper army compared to the three giants on a base that they routinely faced.

Does Hell Dorado count? At the height of the 30 years war a portal to hell opens up in the middle of europe, and the catholics vs protestants thing kind of loses its intensity as the various powers that be focus on the obvious next step: Conquer and colonize Hell!
