Two new sculpts
« on: 08 January 2012, 05:39:26 PM »
Here's another one that I did over the Christmas break.

I'm not sure what to call it or even what it is really supposed to be, some kind of ghost?
Sculpted in a (way too soft!) mix of Uro and Super Sculpy, the little blemisehs around some of the lumps and bumps are the residue of the clay when I smoothed with alcohol but the are only cosmetic.
I sort of made it up as I went along between other projects so it was quite enjoyable.

Second up is a generic cultist/monk.

Sculpted in Uro polymerclay.

As usual they're for sale for production PM me here or email andrewjohnmay1983 AT googlemail DOT com.
Thanks for having a look.

Wow!

Now, please pardon my ignorance,  but would casting the first one requires it to be in multiple parts?

Gracias,

Glenn

In resin, one part. I metal from a good caster would probably* be still one part.

No, it would cast pretty easily. It has a fairly even profile and shallow undercuts (if any). The only problem that I can think of that might be awkward would be cooling issues with the the bulk of metal at the top. But I doubt that would really matter.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.
