How to make mounted infantry in any scale
« on: 16 January 2012, 06:00:06 PM »

As always, my painting skills are not the greatest, and my video making skills are worse.

That said, I think this is a worthwhile little trick to have in your bag.  For those of us who often make very small "armies", it is possible to have a lot of versatility by using 'add-on' pieces, like loose cannons, mounted infantry horses, officers' horses, banners, to add to very generic infantry such as khaki uniformed askaris or sun helmeted Europeans.

Kind of a weird serendipity.  I posted my vid on making mounts for infantry / rpg characters this morning, and just happened to be looking through Enworld this afternoon, when I found these:

They look nice, IMO, and they would certainly work.  The only quip I would have is that none of them appear to have saddles and bridles.  This would work for a fantasy mount, I suppose, though not for anything historical, except maybe very early Plains Indians.
