Hello I am newbie
« on: 02 October 2006, 12:40:18 AM »
Hello everyone, I am a newbie to this forum (but I am on a few others). Just a quick intro, I live in Australia and I paint and play this games mostly:

1. Legends of the Old West
2. I am painting a 25mm Samurai army (I have beeen collecting it for 20 years and I have just starting painting it!). Does anyone know how much info is in the Warhammer Historical; Armies of Antiquity about the Samurai army? I have not bought it yet and not sure if it is worth it.
3. Warmachine
4. Confrontation and Hybrid
5. And many others games. (I need more time!)

TT.

Hi & Welcome!
I wouldn't recommend the AOA-Samurai-List. It's pure Fantasy and far to hard for the other WAB-Lists.
Next year there should be a Samurai Expansion for WAB.
If you come for the king, you better not miss (Omar)

Tim,
Divine Wind is the WAB Samurai book. If you're going to do big battles, you should definately wait for this book instead of the reportedly mega-unbalanced AoA list. I'm still looking for some skirmish rules myself, although I'm leaning towards a variant of the LOTR rules like Age of Blood. Good heroic stuff, fast play, and fun over hyper-detailed realistic stuff.

My dream army looks like the armies in RAN. :D

No, and only for the reason that the AOA list sucks.

I have such a habit of getting carried away w/ the excitement of a new project that I match my avatar quite often, despite our radical size difference. :D
