Building, pavement and cars for a small town (mafia 1920')
« on: 17 February 2012, 01:09:11 PM »
I'm looking for buidings for stories in 1920's : mafia storyline in Chicago.

Do you have any provider for this kind of building in 28 mm (painted if possible) or yours scratchbuilds ?

If you are ok with Paper models, consider Mean Streets

Maybe an option

Those were definitely the ones, i´d go for. I´ve seen the review at quirkworthy and they look superb.

Ancient Warfare / Wargames Soldiers & Strategy had a small demo table at the crisis in antwerpen with a couple of those, looked great.

I have been fortunate enough to play on Dave Bickley's boards:

Black painted bases with Ainsty pavements and Old Glory buildings that slot in.

Thank you.

I don't find Ainsty pavements.
the website seems down.

Do you have any other manufacturer.

Any ideas also for cars ?

I use Lionel and Plasticville for my buildings.  You can get most of them for under $20.00, and they are easy to paint.  I use a LeMax cobbelstone mat for the road and painted matting for the sidewalk.  I've also used grey linilium for the road as well.  You can get some pretty good deal for cars on e-bay.  Lledo ,or Matchbox yesteryear are good bets.  Don't ask me about scale comparison.  I've bought a lot at flea markets.  Check out my photo site, or PM me.

this is for free but I think is not the right scale.
