17th century caribbean militia

Hi,

I want to do a late 17th century english militia for the west indies. As I am going to use a mix of Front Rank WSS and late 17th century range, I want to know if it could be historically correct to mix in one or two scots wearing a bonnet?

Did they wear uniforms?

What kind of flags did the have?
